Movin' On

I just got a pile of Tootsie Roll Pops from a great friend. I have decided to give up a longtime false god (again). I hope I am not just trading one addiction for another. We shall see, if my tongue is a different color everytime you see me for the next year, that is what happened. Thanks for the encouragement Janet, I will do my best!

I Can Only Imagine

This morning I went for a bike ride at Creve Coeur Park. I was a glorious day. The sky was blue and the air was crisp and clean. The view from the bike path was beautiful. I was listening to my I-Pod and the Song "I Can Only Imagine" can on. At that moment I could not imagine what it would be like standing next to Jesus, looking out at the view from heaven, since the landscape I saw this morning on earth was so fabulous. Wow, I can only imagine........

Right or Left Brained

I finally took the right or left brain test and here are my results...
You're primarily a LEFT-BRAIN thinker.
Left-brained individuals are linear thinkers who like order and sequence. Logical rather than visual, choosing a car based on the numbers versus its shiny paint and leather seats is a left brained, rational approach. Left brainers prefer making plans ahead of time and are not much into the surprise of a plan-free vacation. They like their workspaces neat and orderly and are more likely to read the instruction manual before winging it. Because left-brained individuals respond to verbal cues instead of visual, there is usually a preference for lectures over textbooks. Left brainers tend to be punctual while right brainers often run late. For a brief look at your answers, see what choices make you left brain dominant:

False

True

No surprises there!

Grandpa's 92nd Birthday

Today we celebrated grandpa's 92nd birthday, by floating the Meramec River. We have been doing this for as long as I can remember. It is by far his favorite thing in the world to do. Steve's whole family gets together and we float for a couple of hours and then have dinner and cake at the same pavilion. It is just a traditon, we all just know that it will happen and everyone plans on it. No one would miss it for anything. Check out this beautiful family and grandpa the Patriarch!

Taking The High Road

I lift my eyes to the hills-where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of Heaven and Earth...
Psalm 121:1&2

My husband and I just returned from an amazing trip to to the Colorado Rockies. My niece, Janel, created the video from a the photos I sent her from the trip. The video is an expression of our love for the outdoors, our faith in the Lord and our thankfulness for the life that God has blessed us with.
Last night we met for our Bible study, "No Other Gods." Janel hosted the party and we had an amazing time in God's word together. Looking back it is so funny that Janel made a statement that I have heard so many times, but it didn't click until last night. We just need look for the best in everything and everyone. She is so right on......Thank you Janel!!!! I really needed that. For now on I am taking the High Road
